Angela Gossow Urach

Angela Gossow was born to Christian parents in Cologne, Germany, and had three siblings. At the age of 17, her parents separated. The company they owned failed and caused further financial problems. Her situation was further complicated due to being bulimic or anorexic. Gossow's response to her decision to stop performing as the singer of ARCH ENEMY was simple The answer was: There's an appropriate and inappropriate timing for all things. My journey began in the year 1991. I was simply losing the excitement of in this position, living my life out on the road. It was much easier to stop than to continue pretending. The group was first led by Johan Liiva who was replaced by German vocalist Angela Gossow in 2000. The track You're the Voice was recorded at the age of 1986 with Australian vocalist John Farnham.
